Hello one and all!

This is my first post on PH and what better way than to introduce the thing I spend far too much time thinking about, working on and buying bits for.

Ever since my first car, a Fiesta ZetecS in 2002 I've had a soft spot for Fords. Despite a number of years owning VW, BMW and Mercedes, it made sense for my track car to be an Ford ST150. I personally like their simplicity, accessibility, cost of parts, overall running cost, etc - bang for buck I think they take a bit of beating. Plus the engine is widely used in Caterhams / Westfields so tuning parts are plentiful and well proven.

The previous owner had already made some changes such as stripping the interior and fitted a half cage, along with ST170 front calipers and Miltek manifold / exhaust. I have, in the last 10/11 months carried out the following:

  • 6 point TRS harness,
  • A single Mirco RTS bucket
  • removal of heating and aircon
  • hydraulic power steering removed and alternator switched to the front of the engine so I can run a shorter and less complicated aux belt.
  • 15" Autec Wizards
  • MeisterR GT1 coilovers
  • EBC RP-X front pads
  • ATE Typ200 fuild
  • ATW Motorsport ABS delete and clutch line.
The objective for this car was always a dependable track day car that I can lap over and over with minimal concerns. As always though, plans escalate and I'm focusing more on making it as light as possible and creating a rawer experience - think of a Caterham with a roof.

Anyway here's from choice snaps:

I almost bought one of these for £1500 years ago, ended up going for the 172 Clio instead. Still have a soft sport for them and I'd have tripled my money by now. Not modified cars for a while but these sound great with a decent exhaust on

Defo alot of car for the money and must be great fun on the track
