Bmw x5 40e real world MPG

Hi

i'm thinking of getting an bmW X5 2.0 40e 9.0kWh M Sport Auto xDrive Euro 6 (s/s) 5dr (15 - 16).. however Bmw are saying its MPG combined is near 80mpg. however online there are alot of mixed numbers and reviews just wondered if anyone has had 1 or has any information on what the general running costs are?

I think the 40e is a bit cack from what I have read - the engine isnt powerful enough for the weight of the car so you dont get anything much better the 30d unless you drive 90% on electric round town.

Thats why it was replaced with the 45e which has the 3.0 B58 mated to the electric motor instead which in the real world is a better allrounder
