Wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the video games forum..

I've moved from Forza 7 to F1 2022 and whilst I like to think I am top tier with a controller, on F1 2022 I am really struggling to play it due to the precise inputs you need with the steering.

So I've finally bit the bullet and ordered a G920 from the Amazon Prime Deal yesterday along with a Omega Stand for it so I can play on the sofa.

Question for any Pros out there, has anyone got any good settings for a G920 that work well, or anything set-up wise I need to know in terms of pedals, etc.?

I've read online that some people remove rubber gromits, others buy modded springs, etc.

Also any tips for online Racing?

Thanks!

Reduce the number of degrees in the turning circle in the Logitech G hub, I think mine is 270 degrees lock to lock now. As you have read, the brake pedal feel is not the greatest as there appears to be a rubber block at the very end of the pedal travel. I found it very difficult to get 100% brakes when playing the game so I adjusted the feel in game slightly so that I had 100% braking with slightly less pedal travel.

Apparently you can upgrade the brake pedal mechanism with a load cell which makes a massive difference, but I have not done this.

Left foot brake, I find it impossible to play the game any other way. Now I have not played 2022, I am still on 2019 but there are numerous drivers aids you can use to help you at the start. I started off in full automatic mode with brake assist and throttle assist and slowly turned down the settings as I got better. Once you have the hang of it I would suggest going automatic with suggested gear as I found this made the most difference to my level of enjoyment in playing the game.

I have nearly 100 hours of playing time on the game and I have never even touched KERS, brake bias or messed with the aero other than the suggested settings.

Enjoy, it is one of those games that just seems to get better and better as you get more experienced and turn off the driver aids.

I found these after a quick Google.

Best place to ask is probably going to be the game's official forum.

As for tips, as daft as it sounds, learn the tracks. If there's something like "Rivals" or "Hot Lapping" where you can race against your own and some of the quicker guys' ghosts, that'll get you up to speed rather than playing destruction derby mid pack.
