Need quick advice on a Shower/Wetroom drain?

We went away for three weeks and left the builders ripping out our bathroom and re-fitting it together with an en-suite for the daughter, as we would have no bathrooms at all we thought (Ha-Ha) that we could come back and all would be calm and tranquil.
How wrong we were! nearly every room in the house is upside down due to various bits of plumbing and electrical work that needed routing, worst of it all is that when we finally got the OK to use the first finished shower in the main bathroom which is a sort of wetroom setup the water pissed thru the ceiling into the lounge :(
Hence the need for advice:-
The floor does not really have enough fall on it into the drain, partly builders fault but it is an old cottage with a hell of a slope in the floors going the wrong way and so correction was hard. The water seems to flow from the shower area far enough to get through the tiles were they are not tanked. One solution would be swimming pool type drainage channel set in the floor forming two sides of a square and stopping the flow of water. The other may be some kind of shower door.
Question:- does anyone know of an attractive drain channel say 2" wide with a nice cream or chrome cover that we could use for a barrier (we can only source white).
May also need the services of a firm that could cut and fit a nice toughened glass screen that could be sealed at the base - any recommendations?

I used one of these (I can't seem to find the fitting into wood tech drawing but it's very similar)

Thanks - Yes we are still on good terms and it should not cost us unless we go for a radically different setup. It was tanked with a fibreglass layer that went at least 500mm from the expected wet area, trouble is the water is flowing over that area and then getting thru somewhere (we assume), hence the channel idea to contain the area. If it still leaks then obviously his tanking is crap!

So once the water gets out of the shower area (for want of a better description) it sort of pisses across the bathroom floor ??
Could you raise the rest of the floor by 1/2 inch, to get a positive slope back into the shower area, or even put in a small step (not ideal I know)

I don't really have a problem with a step but Mrs A does. She thinks that any kind of disruption in the floor will spoil the effect and we should not have bothered trying to make a wetroom at all and just had a big shower tray. I can see her point but also see the practical issues in water always finding a weak spot if there is one.
There is a trap in the centre drain already and the channel would also have a trap at the end if we could find an aesthetically pleasing channel
Raising the whole floor is a bit f a no-go as the room is fifteen feet square and the tiles were £1200!

Getting one made up shouldn't be too tricky, small stainless tray with a BS fitting on the end, grid out of thick ally, stainless (or teak etc etc)
I would have thought that would look more out of place than a step (if the step was done in the same tiles as the floor)
