I want to run an old Humax Foxsat-hdr box and a new Freesat recorder in separate rooms off the same dish. However, the new Freesat recorder says that:-
"Freesat's Recordable 4K TV Box is capable of recording up to 4 programmes at the same time when connected to a wideband LNB satellite dish."

Is a 'wideband' LNB going to work with the old Humax box?

What sort of LNB is compatible with both boxes, as presumably I need at least six outputs?

Get a 'hybrid' LNB, it will have two wide-band outputs for your new Freesat (SkyQ) and four legacy outs for your old. (Old Sky HD).

The new Freesat 4K box will default to legacy mode (watch one whilst recording another) if used with an LNB that's compatible with the older Humax box. The hybrid LNB solves that. Two wideband outputs for the Freesat 4K box and two of the four legacy outputs going to the Humax as megaphone pointed out. Job done.
