Japan car auction
Discussion
Been looking into importing a jdm car due to potential cost saving and was wondering if anyone has done it diy?
Had a quote from Torque GT and whilst it is good compared to UK price i reckon i could save a grand or two doing it myself.
Ive found this auction website that has loads of nice cars,
https://aaajapan.com/
When you click on car it gives you a cost for the various fees their side, heres an example

It seems to quote a shipping fee of 16500 yen which is about £100 (very cheap?) But im pretty sure this is not to the UK, probably USA as the quote is in dollars? Edit - just seen the shipping cost is 1525 usd, still unsure where this is to though.
Has anyone had experience using this particular auction site or can recommend any others? Ive looked at Goo-net but it seems more expensive than this one (providing the average auction price they give is accurate - ive not managed to work out how to view actual sold prices yet).
Any tips much appreciated.
