One key with Cazoo

I had this issue with CarShop. Just assumed it was standard to get two keys with a vehicle because all cars come with a spare.
Drove to Sheffield from South Wales to see a car. Was very interested, then they told me it only comes with one key. I wanted £300 off (that’s how much money Audi want to create a new key and program it). They flatly refused to knock £300 off the car despite being keen to do a deal so I walked away.
Since then I’ve learnt to always ask if it comes with a spare key and if not factor that cost into the budget.
(Also I don’t really trust CarShop after I eventually bought a car from another branch only to find the brakes were horrific on a motorway drive a few days after buying the car - so much for a 142 point inspection)

Wondered why? I'd have thought they would know the number of keys in their possession. It's an unwanted expenses for a new owner if they've just bought a new (to them) car.

Carshop Swindon aren't much better. Very subdued lighting in the area where the cars are displayed so you don't notice any dirt or blemishes.Drove to Sheffield from South Wales to see a car. Do the cars in question come with more than one key when they're new? If so then I'd want to know where the other one(s) had gone. If not then fine. Essentially, if I'm paying good money for a quality used car I'd expect it to include all the bits and pieces that had been delivered to the first owner.
As above. Cars never come with 1 key when new. I've gone to look at cars in the past and if they only have 1 key I either ask for £250 off the negotiating price (after I have haggled) or I walk away.
One particular seller accused me of wasting his time. I clearly pointed out that he had wasted my time as I had travelled to him. I asked where the other key was and he didn't know.
Rule 1 when buying a car. Make sure it comes with ALL the keys.

It seems most of Cazoo's stock says '1 key'. I wondered if it was an arse-covering exercise & many will actually come with the second key on delivery?
I know they're one of the cheapest car retailers but that changes if you've immediately got to spend £200 on a second key.
I also notice a large number of cars (been looking at Minis in particular) with only one service in their records & that's usually just been done within the past week at Cazoo's prep centre. I wondered if they bought a lot of BMW/Mini PCP returns that couldn't be sold as BMW/Mini Used Approved due to missing servicing, so were punted direct to Cazoo or via auction.

Very easy to ask before viewing and save everybody hassle. Dropping your offer after you have haggled is seriously into wasting people's time.
Whilst I can understand why you have this "rule":
- it's not a common view, so no sellers will expect it.
- you may walk away from some cracking cars.

The seller was asked how many keys he had before I went to view it as it wasn't stated in the advertisement.
Quite how you think I was wasting anybody's time is baffling. I'm there to buy a car, not become anyone's friend. Sort you own house out before a seller arrives. Make sure you know what your doing when selling. Obviously this idiot wasn't.

QQ folks as I'm abroad and in need of help. Need to buy a car fairly soon, and I've seen a decent one on Cazoo. Any thoughts on buying with them? Car has a few imperfections, but appears to have Service History though it's not clear if that's dealer or random garage.
Just wanted to gauge people's thoughts on buying them (which is cheaper obvs) Vs approved dealer?
