Looking forward to Knockhill this year — always one of my favourite venues.

Again, TV coverage is shared between ITV and ITV4:

Bit of a trek for some, and weather can be variable, but usually a big crowd, one of the best viewing circuits, and close racing.

If it isn’t going to be a wash out I may pop along. Had some good times at knockhill, and some very wet times yes

After all the problems with the M-Sport engine at Snetterton, it will be interesting to see if they've sorted the flywheel problem for Knockhill.

Pushing the bounds of relevance / interest, but spotted in the pitlane during shakedown in Team Dynamics gear was erstwhile Traffic Cops 'star' Angus Nairn. Looks like he's a truckie cum tyre guy (for Rowbottom).

More useless facts as we get them folks....

Teams still plagued with mechanical problems today. Another Motorbase fire, plus Moffat's hybrid system failed in FP1 and Patterson's hybrid was not working at all in the qualifying session.

Just watching this and can anyone explain the R that is put against some of the driver on the position table on the LHS of the screen
I think the blue clock? on the lhs of the driver is fastest lap Any other things to look out for, and IMHO much better to watch than the FI procession you get nowadays

Sutton was on the limits throughout that race. The BMW is faster.

I got worried when there was a touch heading up to the finishing line. Not a good place with the pitwall there.

Great to see John Cleland and nice banter between him and Tim Harvey.

Seeing John Cleland reminded me that I still have a programme from the first BTCC race at Knockhill in 1992 signed by him. Can't believe it was 30 years ago eek

A lot of the support series have sub classes for rookies or "mature" racers. smile

Not sure where David Adison is, but i hope he’s back for the next event as his stand in isn’t a patch on him. Lost count of the amount of times he’s said Max Chilton is racing today!

David Addison is covering the Spa 24 hours, Richard John Neill was supposed to be on comms as his replacement but was ill so the other guy is replacing the replacement effectively.

I think the stand in did a brilliant job if it’s not his usual job and had little notice of standing in then he did very well.

It was Jonny Palmer. Usually works for Radio Le Mans.
