MX5 NC Sill Cover/Side Skirt Removal

I have a '07 NC, nice condition and I want to keep it that way, so doing some rust proofing at the moment.

I've seen all sorts of information on removing the sill covers but it seems to conflict. So has anyone actually removed them and can tell me how to do it?

If you are anywhere near Brands Hatch, run it through the gravel at Paddock Hill Bend, always works for me! 3 times last weekend alone!

Alternatively, it’s easiest with one of the trim removal tools. It’s held on with a series of plastic clips that will pop off if you pull them, but will probably break in the process, so you’ll need some new clips to get it back on.

Yep, all but one of the clips broke and Mazda wanted £160 for a total of 20 clips which I bought elsewhere for £7 from vehicleclips.co.uk.

£8 each for a fairly standard clip that you can buy for pennies elsewhere is just a rip off, I had to check that I hadn't accidentally phoned a Bentley dealer by mistake!
