Hi all,

I’m after some recommendations for a decent body shop in the East Midlands area to undertake some localised paint repairs on my barge.

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

There’s a few areas need some touch ups and a few areas where the local hand car wash have blasted paint away.

I’m based between Nottingham and Lincoln, but willing to travel. I also have links to Teesside, Newcastle and Leeds, so would happily travel for good workmanship.

Happy to hear recommendations!

Thanks,

Nick

I’m in Newark and finding someone to trust for the above is proving tricky for me too. Would also love to know if anyone has any suggestions in the area.

Haha funnily enough I got the hand car wash next to Aldi in Newark to give the car a clean recently, and it’s ended up causing so much paint damage from the pressure washers (I know, I know, it’s my own fault)…..

I noticed today that all the paint on the plastic front valance under the bumper has bubbles off and is peeling, presumably after being pummelled at high pressure. Ditto the door mirrors. I know there must have been an existing imperfection anyway for this to happen, but still, quite annoying.

I saw Dack up in Lincoln have recently done a resto on an old Mini, so may speak to them, though I suspect they won’t be interested unless I plump for a re spray.

If you're willing to travel to Mansfield then I can recommend Paint chip techniques

I've used them for many years and have always been happy with the results.
