Got a price from WBAC around 18 months ago for my A4 Avant 2.0t quattro, was very low so decided to keep it. They kept mailing me implying they'd offer more, but each time I replied the offer was the same or lower. Even when it had 12 months MOT. Decided to replace it with something newer a couple of months ago, so tried them again, same low offer. Just sold the car privately for 50% more money.

What did they knock the £400 off for?WBAC are notorious for finding the slightest thing to knock money off, but a lot of it is justified with sellers not declaring damage to their vehicles.
A friend sold his 3 year old BMW 330d a few years back for more than than dealers and BMW themselves were offering. Other I know with various other cars of similar age had quotes several thousand lower than dealers were offering for PX.

I think they now use it to find stock for their Cinch business so newish cars in good condition will be snapped up for decent money. Rest of the cars probably get punted through auction (as they always were) and so prices will be more variable.Chris

I guess their offers reflect on whether they want the type of car you're offering them.

I'm actually an old member (BHML) whose been on this forum for about 10 years. I lost my user details irretrievably, so have just re-registered. If you look on the "sleepers" thread you'll see my posts from April/early May of 2022 when I first bought the car.
I re-registered because a friend of mine was posting embarassing stuff - like how someone twisted my nipples when I was accused of queue jumping at a supermarket...

It was a paint chip repair. Looked a bit obvious with a close look. I'm lucky I fitted alloygators when I bought the car. All 4 alloy-gators had scuff marks on them, so if I didn't have them they would have knocked more off.
