Hello all

after many threads and calls to diffferent dealers it seems the car ive had for 6 months is instantly at a 3-4k loss come trade in

i need an automatic to get to work but dont want to add 3k negative to an already cheap car that gets used twice a week,

ive now wittled it down to around 5-8k on an estate

can anything else apart from a higher mileage BMW 2.0+ estate be beaten for that price?

- automatic
- comfortable
- not insane to run tax etc

thanks

This is Ford Mondeo territory isn't it?

Alternatively something like the Seat Exeo/Skoda Octavia/Superb depending on space requirements?

Mother in law has always had Ford Focus Estates..
Been great all rounders and if serviced regular give piece of mind motoring for reasonable moneysmile
A good Tdci Automatic with good history 12-14 plate could be possible for your budget..

the finance per month i was getting back was insane - 500 PM almost with low deposit

that and not being offered anymore than minus 3-4k on current car i felt it wasnt worth it.

F11 BMW 520d estate.

I've got one as a family car, M Sport auto done 160k miles, 2011 model. Looked at changing it but to get better than it I'd have had to spend way more than I wanted for a family estate to put the dog/kids/camping stuff in.

In 2 years I've done a rear airbag (Suspension - Way easier job than I expected) 2 tyres and a couple of services. £12 a month on tax from memory too.

Wife uses it to go to work and back so circa 15 miles each way, every day and we all use it at the weekend.
