Ba da da da,
Ba da da da,
Ba da da da,

Ba da da da,
Ba da da da,
Ba da da da,
Ba da da da,

Looking from a window above
It's not quite a story of love
Can you hear me?
Came back almost every day
Not moving further away
They don't hear me....

We have a colony of the buggers out front of the house and every afternoon they congregate for their equivalent of what looks like Glastonbury Festival.

An area of concrete path just becomes utterly over run with the little winged blighters - we aint talking Horses of Chav Tat and funnily enough not a pony in sight.

They seem utterly confused about what to do.

I've tried talking to them. I've tried reasoning with them. I've even tried tricking them into hanging out somewhere else in the garden with offerings of brown bread and green foliage - they just aren't interested.

What I need is the equivalent of a Flying Ant Beer Tent, then I can encourage them to move into a supervised area - all for their own safety you understand.

Perhaps we need a sound stage for them? Adam and the Ants?

Sugestions that don't involve DDT please.

(btw - in case you weren't sure these are flying ants - though definately of the pikey variety - as yet security is holding up and they haven't made it into the house)

Why get rid of them when you can have some sport?

Flying ants are the reproductive males and females. These mating ants are winged and have a nuptial swarming flight during a few days in July or August. Mating takes place in the air and females then seeks out a nest site where she stays for the winter.

Looks like they are out for a bit of action, so maybe a pack of cigarettes and some romantic music would be better...

It's only a couple of days each year isn't it???

Gives you the rest of the year to design and build a methanol and nitrous powered mini-flamethrower.
