Has anyone heard anything about this?

My car is a MY22, built at the end of December 2021. It's got PCM 6.0.

The update to PCM 6.1 brings with it Spotify - a big improvement imo as someone who uses the service and loves music.

I've done some digging and it looks as though it will be possible for all MY22 911's to be updated to this newer software version. I've emailed my dealer and have not heard back.

Has anyone else got any info on this? You also get coloured icons and I'm sure lots of other changes and updates, but it's the Spotify integration that has me wanting it.

Just thought I'd push this back up as it's been a few months. I'm guessing no one else is that concerned about having native support for Spotify and Android Auto...

The Spotify inbuilt and the apple music isn't that great and not much different to using it via car play on my old MY21 car. The wider CarPlay screen is nice, not sure if that's on PCM 6 already.

I believe the wider CarPlay screen is already present - I just prefer the native UI as it matches the instrument clusters compared to using the Apple UI. All I want to be able to do is navigate my Spotify playlists from the native screen.

There seems to be conflicting opinions on whether or not they will or can roll out an update. On Rennlist there are some folks who say it's totally happening - despite my local PC saying it's not...

I gave my 992 Targa GTS in for a service and was told that there would be a PCM update (vehicle recall campaign). Hopefully it’s the 6.1 upgrade. The loan car had this and the car play is definitely more stable. On PCM 6.0 there are a few instances where CarPlay fails to connect or recognise the phone.

This is now being rolled out in North America, so I presume it’s only matter of time before we see it in the UK.

Picked up the car and they have updated the PCM. CarPlay appears to be a lot more stable than on the previous version.

Did you have the black and white icons previously? I have a Feb 22 build and came with black and white. I would also like native Spotify so have emailed the dealer to see if mine can be upgraded.

I called my OPC and they confirmed that there is a new campaign to update the PCM from 6.0 to 6.1 so my MY22 (October 2021) GT3 is booked in for the update.

I too am booked in. West London couldn’t do for two months so reluctantly going in to Reading. I guess not that reluctant or I’d have waited the two months.
