Little Yellow Train
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Have any of you been on the little yellow train in the pyrenees?
We're off to that side of the south of france soon and having been up to andorra a few times i've seen it advertised and was thinking about giving it a go.
I'm not train spotter but the idea of this little train chugging its way up the mountains is pretty cool, especially if i can get in the open carriage!

I live not far away and went on it several years ago, should have been back again as it may have changed but it is well worth the visit. It clings to the edge of the very hilly terrain and grinds along in a very antique way, all slightly hair raising but fascinating if you are into vintage transport and lovely views and countryside to boot.
Well I went yesterday and can simply say it's one of the best days out I've ever had.
Weather was fantastic and I was able to get a seat in an open carriage each way.

The early section in the narrow valley was nice but for me the best bit was when we got to the high open plateau with views for miles.

I'd definitely recommend it if your in this corner of southern France.
