Does any one know why the lack of rear tyres for the diavel?
It took me an age to locate one, and that was in Germany, that I now have.
I have heard that Pirelli are only supplying to the factory. Any one know why? Most other sizes are available, only 240 45 17s are scarce, even Michelins 240s seem to be hard to find.

I just did a quick google and had lots of options for a Rosso 3 supplied in the uk.

I didn’t go as far as checkout on any so they could be out of stock but seems unlikely.

That being said if there are problems it will because it’s an unusual size. If there are any covid, brexit, Russia - take your pick, issues it will affect minority sizes first.

All tyres are currently in short supply the Diavel size at 240 is used on only a few bikes so stock is presumably lower.

No not unlikely at all, I have owned the diavel for 8 years and have never had problems getting them until until now.
My local motorcycle tyre fitter and supplier can't get them either.
I have also uses Google search, and the few I have enquired about only to be told there in back order.

This. Carbon black (i.e. soot) is in short/no supply as Russia is a major supplier so tyre manufacturers will be prioritising very common sizes, if at all.

I had heard elsewhere that Diavel tyres were non-existent at the moment due to Carbon Black and Russia.

A friend recently spent 3 weeks trying to track down a tyre for his Diavel, he did eventually get one via a local tyre fitter who had a back order

Interesting that that's the excuse for a shortage of tyres, thanks.
An interesting side note. I was looking for a few small parts for the diavel on ebay. One seller was in Kiev in the Ukraine lol. Just found it strange and funny that the press lead us to believe a certain narrative, only to see that businesses are alive and well including post offices in kiev.
