That's shocking.

Why does it feel like it's always the bad driver that manages to walk away?

Bradford.

I’ll tell you why: because those that are drunk or smashed off their toys tend to be floppy when they crash.

Sober, you’ll brace for impact

Although in this case, one of the thief's passengers did die, as well as the innocent parties in the taxi.

Awful for the following coppers as well, wondering if it wouldn't have happened if they had done something differently. And no doubt having the usual slow hindsight analysis of their actions to look forward to.

It may also be that he instinctively steered away from the taxi, ensuring the passenger took the brunt of the impact.

Sad outcome all round.

How the heck has that transit seemingly fared so better than the taxi? It doesnt even look like a "modern" transit, possibly 10 year old plus. But cab looks far less damaged than the car.
Obviously it is higher, but even so.

One of those killed had apparently survived another near-fatal accident whilst on a stolen quad bike 9 months ago.

Not a lot of sympathy for young Kyden, tbh.

Indeed, very little loss to society. I live on the outskirts of Bradford and after a very near smash a few years ago where I was forced up onto the kerb to avoid a fking ahole flying down the wrong side of the road, I never EVER go near the city now. It is as bad as it's made out.

These s have no respect for authority or human life.

I respect your diplomatic way of putting it; I might have been more direct.

Why do you think it's not relevant?

Because as far as im aware the city of culture title isn’t based on road accidents, unless it’s part of the criteria that ive missed?
