Not sure whether the “Lastifi” in your table was a typo or intentional…

Seems sad that Oscar Piastri hasn’t got an F1 seat this year, to me he is the one outstanding candidate. However, on the assumption that, despite various other potential qualification routes, F2 is the only realistic feeder into F1 these days I find it difficult to identify the next F1 star. I watch the F2 races with interest but, unlike many recent seasons, there really doesn’t seem to a single driver repeatedly making a mark with great consistent pace and a lack of mistakes.

If Alonso, Vettel & Hamilton suddenly decide enough is enough who are the guys good enough to replace them ??

Intentional.

Yes I too watch all the F2 the current top are really not that great and on year 3 as well. This is defo a year for no-one to promote up from f2 to f1.

Piastri defo deserves a seat and maybe nick de fries.

Interesting that of the 20 drivers currently in F1 12 of them came from the premier single seater F1 support series at the time (F3000, F2, GP2). It's clearly a decent quality championship but is it really that much better at developing drivers or are F1 teams just very bad at looking beyond what's under their nose? The advantage of it competing on the same tracks as F1 is going to reduce as F1 expands with more far flung races F2 won't attend whilst the super licence points situation will certainly distort things.
