Sir Jackie Stewart Classic Thirlestane Castle , Lauder
Discussion
If I am correct the SJS event is only on the Saturday 18th and was ticketed at £25 ,I am attending as have an invite through a car club ,the Sunday event is at the same venue but is run by the BVVC too different show ,I also have a ticket for Sunday 19th to display my car with another club as we always go to it and is £5 entry but not sure I will do the 2 days as a 200 mile round trip ...plenty of public car parking at event so think you can pay on day to enter but if displaying not sure of the cut off date for entries .hope this makes sense .
Thank you for reply , this is from website

See you there!
Thank you for that . Main concern is when things start so we can work out when to set off / arrive for the event as travelling from Glasgow and my old bones dont want to be sitting around needlessly See you there!
This year is prob first time I'm not going. One of my fave shows and gave my sunday ticket away to another classic car owner who missed the sign up.
But having marshaled for the show before. They aim to get all show cars in and on stand by 9am. Then geneal public used to be allowed din from 9:30 once everyone was set up.
With the motorsport event on. I'm presuming that public be limited to the fields closest to the entrance so be no issues leaving. But from 3:30 onwards expect long ques to get out and onto main road. Then show traffic starts to leave from half 4 onwards. I used to leave closer to 6 and get a clear run out.
Leave Glasgow say around 8 and get there at a decent time.and should be straight in tho there will be queue on main road. Even at 8am I've sat in a long que

It's a much bigger event this year, with more, different public entrances which may help access and egress. The main drive from the eagle gate to the castle is the 'sprint track'. Setup is Thursday and Friday too, with show car access 0630 - 0900 Saturday and Sunday with public access 1000.
