Hi im new to the forum, i hope everyone is well.
Im looking to purchase a new car soon, maybe not the best time with prices so high but personally i don't think they'll ever come back down to what they were say 3 years ago.
Anyway i own a 2008 mk2 fabia at the moment and i do like the drivers view, ive sat in numerous cars lately and find a lot of them to have very sloped windscreens to what im comfortable with. I did test drive a mini cooper 14 plate and really liked the drivers view and the way the car handled. Which leads me onto the question of how reliable they are and what peoples general experience is of owning a used 14 plate or newer. Also do people have any suggestions of any other reliable, sporty cars that wont neccessarily break the bank. I have about 12000 to 14000 to spend.

2014 should be a third gen F56, which is a good reliable car. I assume it’s the 1.5 turbo motor? Avoid the older pre-2013 models they had reliability issues.

Get the 2 litre petrol. You’ll thank yourself when you want to overtake someone on a slip road.
