3 adults in the back?

I'm doing a road trip through France this summer with my family of five. My 'kids' are now basically adult sized.
I don't want anyone falling out, so need to pick up something with more room across the back seats. Really, they need to be 3 individual seats.
So far, the best I've come across is a Ford Galaxy.
Isn't there anything more interesting? The other option I looked at was a Disco 4 but they're just so unreliable and still expensive.

Pity the bugger who has to sit in the middle rear seat of any saloon or estate car on a road trip. I have an A6 Avant which my kids loathe for journeys any longer than 15mins. On the other hand they love the space, comfort and airiness of our Galaxy, which I have to admit is a far nicer car to drive anyway.
I suspect the answer is no.
An S-Class or FFRR both have about 1500mm of rear shoulder room, which is okay for three-abreast but not something I'd want to do for hours on end.
Maybe a Grand Espace (as you're considering something as old as a Galaxy)? Probably no more exiting than the Galaxy (but then a Disco 4 or XC90 are dishwater as well...) but possibly more interesting. Get an up-spec one with 6 seats (4 captain's chairs and 2 not-quite captain's chairs) and leave a seat at home to gain luggage - very comfortable and wafty, just don't expect any thrill (though the 175hp diesel shouldn'y be too tragic.) Probably a nicer motorway schlepper than anything directly van-derived.

I have 3 kids as well so had a selection of family cars. This is the best one yet.
In terms of fitting your 3 individual seat requirement only, the current 5008 does. As does the C5 Aircross albeit with a smaller boot.
We’ve got a 5008 1.6 GT with 180PS and it’s a nice drive with a decent amount of poke for what it is. My wife sits happily between two child seats. It’s got a flat floor across the back too which helps with foot room for the middle passenger.
My caveat to the above is that my car history is depressingly dull compared to what most on here have, so it’s all rather relative.

I had a D4 and it was of course epic at this but now I have an S-Class LWB and an old Touran and the Touran is by far the better car for travelling 5-up.
You may need a roof box but for interior space they are great.
The middle row is fine for three adults and you can recline the seat backs a bit which can help.
You can also remove the middle seat and “ move the outer two inboard a bit and run it as a 5-seater with a 2:2:1 configuration etc. If the second row want more elbow room and the third row is surprisingly good for adults if/when needed.
