Can anyone recommend a thief proof fuel cap? Some lowlife has emptied my wife's Paul Smith on four occasions now. The Rover locking cap is no deterrent. I now use an ordinary twist on cap because at least I can just pick it up from the floor and replace it! My only fear is that if the cap is thief proof, they may take their frustration out on the paintwork. I'm even thinking of moving the filler cap to inside the boot or installing CCTV!

Install CCTV! If it's happened on four occasions in the same place, I bet it's one of your neighbours.

I don't think you will ever find a completely theft proof cap, and if you do, I can see why you'd be a little concerned about vandalism!

CCTV. Probably is one of your neighbours, like said above. Or you could try and fit a mesh inside the neck of the tank to stop the siphon going down.

Moving the tank would be good but a bit involved
