Will there be a Dubai GP?
Discussion
The Monaco GP had me thinking if there would be Dubai GP as they are virtually the same place in terms of the fancy crap which is what keeps Monaco on the race calender.
I know the gridwalk would be full of so called influencers but it has the yachts , billionaires , glitz and glamour and maybe could have a wider circuit.
Just thoughts..actually id rather have the sakhir gp than monaco

Really??? Each to their own I guess, but for all its faults, the Monaco GP is one of a few dwindling vestiges of the history of the sport that need preserving. It has never provided great racing but has always been a useful barometer to wheedle out the sublime from the merely good. And to see the drivers and cars there in person is to fully understand what F1 is truly about.
As to the question.... no. Not as long as Abu Dhabi host a race. Part of their agreement with F1 (they pay the highest fee to host a race) is that not other F1 race will take place in the UAE.

Really??? If you still think Sakhir was the better Grand Prix then I will be suggesting you're failing to understand what it is that makes Formula 1 so special.
Dubai is actually home to one of very few FIA Grade 1 circuits that’s never hosted a Grand Prix. I can see it from my bedrooom window this morning.
It’s in the desert, rather like Bahrain, as opposed to being on the coast like Abu Dhabi. Was built about 15 years ago, with the intention of hosting an F1 race - but for many reasons, most of whom are called Bernie Ecclestone, it didn’t happen. The Dubai Autodrome does host other series, including a 24h GT race and Asian F3, and is busy as a working circuit with experience days and track days.
The major obstacle, as @StevieBee points out, is the contract with AD specifically precludes it. They pay the very big bucks to hold the UAE’s only race, and the last race of the season at their $2bn Yas Marina circuit.
There’s also a very limited window to hold a race in the sandpit. It’s 35ºC and rising already at 9am this morning, will be over 40º for most of the day, and humid with it. You probably want to be no later than mid-April for a race here, or no earlier than mid-October.
