I have a car that was first registered in England, spent sone time in Belfast & then returned to England.

HPI show this as a UK import - which mean WBAC / Motorway etc won't take it - computer says no despite a documented history.

Maybe it's DVLA who don't understand the term UK - but it would have saved me a whole lot of time had the used the term GB at the outset

If the car spent time in Belfast then it never left the UK therefore maybe it was a parallel import from new.

You'd have thought so - but it seems the DVA cover NI and not DVLA - so HPI decide to flag that as a import - according to the link above frown

I have the paperwork that shows initial UK registration & then registration with the DVA and local MOT's in Belfast before returning to England.

Shouldn't affect a private sale, but any of the bulk buyers just reject as computer says import.

See what a local used car dealer will give you for it instead, it’ll likely be better than one of these large companies
