Hi - I'm thinking about spending 19k on an '04 111s but it's got 27k miles already! I don't have any experience with the elises and want to use it for track/weekend use. how much should I be concerned, if at all?? any guidance appreciated!!!

I think £18,500 would be a good price.

If you're going to do a lot of miles in the car and keep it a long time it makes sense to get a cheaper car with a few more miles on.

I bought my car in November with 19k on and it's now got 32k on so maybe I should have bought a cheaper higher mileage car to begin with...

long distance motorway journeys are often easier on an engine and oil than short journeys. so high mileage isnt necesarily a problem

So no-one seems to think it a real problem! sounds promising. Any good things i should look for? the car will have a 1yr guarantee from a dealership..

Check for signs of previous accident damage. Ideally have a look underneath with the undertrays off and see if there's signs of suspension damage or replacement.

Otherwise I can't see much else being wrong with such a new machine.

If it's an '04 car it will also have a full factory warranty for a couple of years left on it too, THEN the 1yr dealer warranty will come in to play.

Are you buying from a Lotus dealer or just a car dealer!?
