Get this..........Apparently, a day nursery school just outside Truro down here in the south west has upset some of their neighbours by being too noisy. It seems the complaints have arisen when the children have been let outside for their 'play time' The Enviromental Health Department have informed the Nursery to keep the children indoors longer, after investigating the complaints.
Perhaps a classic example of 'Children should be seen and not heard'......?
What do you reckon...have a whip round to buy gags for the kids or earplugs for the locals?

I could see them complaining if it was half one in the morning and keeping people awake (like my new neighbours) but I don't imagine kid's playgroups are open at that time. FFS, some people will complain about anything.

Some folk have disorders that mean noise disproportionately affects them.

Then there are shift workers trying to get some kip.

Got to admit the neighbours kids can drive me nuts.....it's the little girl screaming like she is being murdered that cuts right into me.

Some people have nothing better to do with their pointless existence, but tune into 'Radio-local FM'
and when the lost cats bit comes on, they are often outraged at the sound of children playing nearby, daring to shout over it.

We live beside a primary school, which still allows its brats out on the playing field, despite the threat of lurking paedeophiles/and large child eating birds of prey.

I suspect the whinging homeowners never had a chilhood of their own, and, would sleep better, in the knowledge, that no four year
'old pre-pensioner' need ever endure such playtime hardships ever again

Make fun history-support local phone ins

Sorry Gh0st, I didn't know you thought of yourself as an old folk

There's a big difference between the sound of childrens laughter at playtime and chav kids playing the latest choons at full tilt on a ghetto blaster though

Children laughing = good sound

Screaming little girls =

At work I get issued with ear defenders when going into noisy areas......should you need to wear them at home?

Perhaps this particular nursery is very badly placed...some of the new ones are converted houses.

And yes....I am very very old and I want my tea and bikkies NOW!

Oh I have two daughters who regularly sound like they are murdering each other... It's a shrill piercing sound that goes right through you....

Actually, it's quiet at the moment, that's never a good sign, I need to investigate.

My wife tried to start up a Nursery recently. We found ideal premises with a great outdoor area for the kids to play in. We were granted planning permission, but because ONE person had put in an objection to possible noise, we would have only been able to let the kids out to play for 1 hour a day.
WTF!!!!!!
