Does anyone know the answer (or know of somewhere I can find the answer) to this....

What is the weight of a Norton Commando Piston Assembly ?

Personally I wouldn't bet that every 850 cc Commando piston weighs the same.

I'd suggest finding someone with one or more on the shelf and asking nicely if they can weigh them, or finding a period tuning guide?
