Looking at buying a Cat D car from a dealer, do I need to get an independant inspection before i buy it?
A report costs around £120 I understand, my local garage will charge £50.
Used to have a friend who did the inspections for me but he is now a she and is not keen to do them anymore.

Whatever inspection you have done, ensure they take it up to 70mph and hit the brakes.
Only way to find out if it's bent.
You don't want to find out it's bent when you actually need to hit the brakes at 70mph.
I've seen so many absolute deathtraps, on, and off, the register. But buying a car on the register ups the chances of getting something horrible.
