Will have a look later. Anyone got numbers to post on a standard 4.5? Not that Id want it personally
Prefer the manual stick, but it does sound interesting!ccharlie6 said:He told me all about his beast on the phone once, never mentioned the shifter. Great for track-heads, I cant imagine an auto box being high on the traditional sports car enthusiasts list... specailly not at 6K!!!
boss cerbera isn't running zeroshift is he? damn like that car isnt fast enough anyway!
I hope it comes through, I wander how much torque they'll be able to handle... I would have thought as its continuously hooked to the engineside there wont be any worries of shock-loading, but what about re-engagement in the box itself, gears must take a serious beating? say like helical dogbox gears...
I wander how much the patents must have cost, cos you need to register in the USofA and the UK and the EU right?

ZeroShift has switched T5 development from the Cerbera to a new Mustang.

Shock loading - each gear will probably kick like a mule with a headache and hangover
With no clutch to absorb the shock loads - it will need something else after all consider :
engine speed must change : up or down (lets say 500 ~ 1000 rpm)
drivetrain speed differential
gear speed
Would you want a kick like that on a wet corner at near max traction limit..
If they solve that - I'm sure they will have a world beater or DSG

That is the whole point though, instead of the double spike that a conventional manual shift causes, delivered torque throughout an upshift remains virtually constant. I think they switch off the engine and then pull the revs down on the clutch, or something along those lines.
