Just a quick and seemingly obvious question...

But when you need to jack your Elise up, I know it lifts both wheels at once on one side on jacking point "A" but am I right in thinking you don't need to take the undertray off for this?

Regards and probably embarrassed for asking,

Mac

If I understand your question, you do not need to take the undertray off to get access to the jacking points.

If you look underneath the car itself there should be 2 blue circles on the edge of the chassis - those are the points you place the jack (and, as you say, the rear one will lift both wheels off the ground - very useful!).

Edit: absolutely nothing to be ashamed of asking. I only know what I know about Elises today because I asked exactly the same questions - feel free to ask anything, and somebody usually has an answer!

common question for newbies... I did the same... it's all explained in the owners manual... failing that click here:

Jacking point A is the only one you can really use unless you want to take the undertrays off.

I'll just add that that's taken from the S1 manual, but I'm 95% sure that the S2 jacking points are similar.
