F80 M3 Comp Purchase

Hi all, looking for a bit more info on the F80 M3 comp, around 2017/2018.

I was looking at getting an M2 but with growing kids decided probably the 4 door makes the better choice.

I’m surprised to read that the MPG on the M3 is actually higher than the lower powered M2. Is this actually right ? Anyone have a strong opinion either way on the M3 and any particular options or packs I should be looking out for ?

Options are obviously a personal preference, but I'd be looking at cars with the HUD/HK stereo/ICON headlights and the optional full leather(leather on the door tops/glovebox etc).

I'm told that the race cars were always based around the stronger 4 door shell ... I bought an M3 CS and am seeing an indicated 30 mpg on the motorway cruise ... a true 28 and the thing is rather better than I had hoped !

I always think that a car is great when the speedo surprises to the positive at what feels like the right speed for the roads one drives. Of course it also means that you have to take care, but I am seeing GT4 + 5mph ... which at 2/3rds of the price is I think, rather good.
