This is super Porsche nerd territory but does anyone know the maximum incline when going from a flat road up a hill, i.e. the angle between the front wheel and bottom of front bumper. The reason I ask is I’m thinking about getting a 996 but there is a fairly steep ramp between road and garage, I want to see if the car would make it up or would it scrape its front bumper.

Does anyone know the same for a gt3? Can’t afford one but was looking at a 996 that sat a bit lower, closer to gt3 ride height.

Which version of 996 are you considering?

There are a few different models which all have different bumpers but I'd guess the none aero standard bumper on the early car gives the best clearance. Ride height will also affect this. I've got 2 lowered early cars but one with aero and one without. I had without for over 4 years before getting with and I never had any rubbing or catching ever without but with I get it all the time. Pics from 5 years ago...this is without obviously...

Good to know, thanks. I'm interested in a gen 2 c2, but quite like an aerokit. Should be ok then.
Cheers!

Hi, well I had a 986 boxster s many moons ago and it had the sports chassis option. This reduced the ride by 10mm and looked superb! But it did reduce incline angle so if I had any concerns about steep ramps I would definitely look for a 996 without this option!
