Upgrading Sound Plus in 991.2

Ok just bought this car and the sound is bloody awful.

First point of call for me is to upgrade the tweeters i'm following this thread fitting Dayton Audio Tweeters.

However im looking for advice on the door speakers next. Im unfortunate to have the Sound package Plus. Any pointers appreciated.

I think it's easier to upgrade non-bose sytems actually.

I have bought the recommended Audison 8p woofers for the doors, Focal 4" components with tweeters. I was about to buy an Audison 5ch amp and DSP (which I need with BOSE) but i'm chopping the car in now so all redundant! Hoping the speakers fit in the new car.

OK Nice did you fit them yourself, do they go in the existing mounts without mods?

Did you add some sound insulation to the panels in the door too?

I did the tweeter upgrade. The clips are a complete b@gger but once you realise how to do the second one is easy.

It did make a difference but up to speed the overall sound is still pretty poor and is not at all night and day. I think you’d need to replace all speakers to really make a difference. The 911 is a noisy car so always going to be difficult.

I now have a GT4 and the sound system is so much better standard thank god.

I just did a stage 1 at Audiofile Incar who I can highly recommend. The stage 1 is sound deadening on doors and focal 4 inch in the door and focal tweeters. Noticeable step up in quality of sound however it does highlight weak (Bose) woofers so I’m now thinking about going back for woofers and amp upgrade.
