Hi all. I have a non smart tv and no bluetooth.

Is there a gadget to plug into the headphone or optical out to make it so I can connect a Bluetooth speaker to it?

If there is. How would I connect them up (given that the speaker has no screen on it and the ‘gadget’ wouldn’t have either?)

Thanks for any advice

Thanks that seems to be the job. But how do I connect with neither having a screen? Or do they just auto connect?

Can’t you just buy a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, if your Bluetooth speaker has a 3.5mm jack that is? Loads of these on Amazon.

Word of warning, connecting audio to a TV via bluetooth can cause a noticeable delay with the sound.
I tried to connect my Logitech Z5500 speakers to a tv by bluetooth and it was unwatchable. Think I ended up using the optical straight into the Logitech.

That's why I posted my link to the article above.
Plenty of gadgets to chose from that work with anti-lag technology.

But you do need to check if you Bluetooth speaker include that tech.

Cheers guys I’ve ordered one of the ones from the link.

Speaker is a pair of Marshall Woburn II so I’ll report back on any lag issues. But I think there’s a setting in Sky Q to delay the audio or something I’ll check when it comes.

Woburn II has both Aux In and RCA connectors - why not just use one of those?

And that’s why you bury a conduit and run the cables through that
