Le Mans Classic secure parking

I'm looking for secure parking for Le Mans Classic this year. I don't need accommodation and all the rest of it - just the parking. Anyone any ideas or suggestions?

The concept of secure parking anywhere near Le Mans sounds bizarre to me. You'll never be able to de-risk the people in the street when you're driving past - and they've long been a hazard at Le Mans.

Perhaps I am over-stating what I'm looking for.

I've been to Le Mans Classic on a number of occasions and have usually ended up parking in the Lotus car clubs area on the in-field. This offers slightly more security than the general parking areas on the out-field. Unfortunately I'm too late to take up this option this year.

My car is a 1968 Elan DHC and as such does not represent much of a challenge to the light-fingered, so all I'm after really is a parking option which offers some element of discouragement to the opportunist thief.

Fort Knox is not required!

My preference is to use the large, paved car park that runs down from "Centre des Expositions" towards the museum and circuit entrance. It's away from the main camping areas and quite exposed/open which hopefully deters the worst of the scrotes. I think it's probably called "Expo" on the bookings.

Expo parking is just parking so I’d say it’s reasonably secure no strangers walking around.
Just take precautions, take rotor arm out, swap plug leads etc so it won’t drive should be secure

Without wishing to cause offence, or tempt fate, if I were a car thief at Classic Le Mans a Lotus Elan would be approximately #14,723 on my list of targets.

UK registered cars are hardly thieve magnets - re-registering them is a major hassle. A simple Crooklock would probably be overkill - particularly given the overall difficulty of finding parking during the event!
