Type 23 ID Plate

Hello Folks,

I was wondering if anyone could help me please...

I have just recently purchased an Elise Type 23 and for those of you who are not familiar with it it Is a 1 of 50 Heritage Limited Edited in Engish White with British Racing green stripes. It also has a complimenting perferated leather green and grey suede interior...etc, etc. Any how maybe that's not quite so important right now...But I love it to bits already!

My question is, as I have researched the car is:

"To illustrate its limited edition status the Elise Type 23 is furnished with a Heritage ID plate as only 50 of these cars are to be built."

Now I have NOT got this ID plate and the previous owner doesn't have it either. Would anyone know please how I could find out what the ID plate is and how I could retreive it or get a duplicate from i.e. the manufacturers???

I'd be grateful for any advice etc.

On the ltd editions I have seen (not many) the ID plate is on the center of the dash, displayed through the windscreen. Quite difficult to miss.

Hmmm...? I can't see anything actually on the car or inside?

To be honest I don't know what I'm looking for?

I imagined it to be a plate detatched from the car....I wonder if I'm missing something obvious?

any i've seen it's a brass or aluminium plate about 1"x3" in the middle of the dash with the number and date etc etched on it. should be VERY obvious tbh i can't see you missing it.

I've got a Type 25 and its in the middle of the top of the dash. From the outside lean across the windscreen and have a look through. You should see it.

Morning Folks,

Well at last I've discovered what's going on with my Type 23 number and with the help of the garage that first sold the car and very kind help from a very, very, very helpful (oh la la!) lady from Lotus, I now have a number which is being sent to me as we speak!
