991.2 Speaker Rattle
Discussion
As per the title, my 991.2 suffers from the odd speaker rattle, primarily for the door cards.
It’s a base stereo (not that i think that makes a difference) and whilst it’s fairly minimal it’s highly frustrating.
I don’t listen to music that produces particularly deep tones, I don’t have the volume particularly high nor do I have the bass settings high.
I’ve purchase some sound insulation (similar to dynamat) and as a first pass, I’ve insulated the door airbag covers and the plastic trim behind the door handles but it’s made zero difference. I did these areas first because generally if I push on them when the rattles occur, it generally goes away. However even though both pieces of trim fit snugger now, it’s still there.
I’ve refrained from removing the entire door card until now given where the noises appear to be coming from but will do that as a next step.
Are there any other hot spots to be checking?
Cheers
