Last chance for us to see the cars in action before the 1st race, so hopefully the teams will push for times a bit more and we'll have a sense of who's fast and who's in trouble!

Will be interesting to see if the teams have got on top of the porpoising problems after Barcelona. I'd expect a lot of updates from Red Bull. McLaren and Mercedes- will be a fascinating few days.

Schedule (all sessions are being covered live by Sky):

Barcelona testing laps and times:

Thanks for (again) starting the topic but shouldn’t it be Bahrain?

Other questions... New Haas livery? Sponsor? Driver?

Will we see sister teams seeing if the new aero does allow closer racing?

Is anyone sandbagging by a large amount?

Haas will be running plain white I believe. They have dropped Uralkali sponsorship entirely and cancelled Hazaspin's contract with immediate effect - presumably to distance themselves from any Russian money.

Reports are of a young Fittipaldi taking his place.

Yes, Fittipaldi in for the test but not the season apparently

Is it "not the season" or "not confirmed for the season"? If they knew they were going with someone else for the race seat, why wouldn't they put them in for the test?

He is in for testing at least, with nothing else confirmed yet.

Gene Haas quoted as saying they'd like someone "with a bit more experience".

Somebody send him Kimis number

Sounds like he’s going to try and drag Giovinazzi out of Formula E before the Bahrain race. I wonder if his contract there has an F1 drive get-out clause?

I read it does, be better to get who ever in for these tests, get them used to the car.

Whoever they want to get in ideally needs to be for testing. Ironically by actually driving the new car Fittipaldi sort of becomes the most experienced option.

It would be a hell of a learning curve for gio to get in to the new car for the first time at a GP weekend.

Normally I'd disagree and state a good F1 driver should be able to step into any car but things are different this year!

Anyway really looking forward to these three days to see who brings what changes and play guess who's sandbagging thumbup

Mercedes to bring an absolute monster of a 'B'- car a la 2019?

I am encouraged by what I saw in Barcelona. Hopefully the indications that the regulations are working, the tyres are more robust and the pack is nice and close will be confirmed.

I hope at the stragglers can show up and be in the mix.

At that to the rumours of the Mercs sandbagging at Barcelona, and we may well be looking at a walkover season at the front. Time to get to the bookies I think.

Looks like a great battle shaping up behind them, with Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull all quite close but in that order.
