Roll Bars and harnesses.....
Discussion
The conventional approach is to mount the rear straps to the rear stay of the rollover bar. There are a lot of factors that affect the packaging and usability of the rollover bar, and a lot of work went into getting mine right. One tricky bit is getting a decent angle on the rear stays and still get them far enough apart to get a good alignment on the rear straps. If you're coming to SCH, and if mine is back on the road by then, you can have a look at it and see how it's been done.

Cheers Pete,
I will be popping along to SCH3 (unfortunatley TVR-less though
) so will hopefully have a look then. It's another thing on the 'wish-list' at the moment.
Does the roll bar make much difference to the overall feel/stiffness of the chassis??
Another question - how does it fit to the chassis? is it bolted/clamped or welded??
Cheers

It may make it feel slightly stiffer, I'm not sure if it did on mine - or if was just psycological.
The bar is usually fitted to the chassis with U bolts. I posted some pics of mine a year or so ago - they may resurface with a search.
People say it transforms the handling (on the V8S, and on other cars). Looking at the bits of chassis it is connected to, I don't see how it would make any particular difference. I haven't noticed any difference on mine. It does transmit more noise into the cockpit though, and it's possible this is fooling people into thinking something has changed.
Mine had a roll bar when I bought it so dont know whether it is stiffer or not, but Mr Sheen said straight away that it felt stiffer and less shaky than his............?
As for the roll bar, unless you intend to do a lot of track driving you might find its a pain in normal traffic due to the lack of movement allowed, looking out of junctions etc....... I found it an absolute pain and fitted the seatbelts to the roll bar instead, I find it much better?
Again mine will be at SCH so you can have a look.
