The Australian car market is bizarre. 1.76 to the £ approx.

They are asking between AU$ 130k and 298K for Ferrari 308s. I am looking at a UK auction catalogue for this weekend and the estimate on the one for sale with an estimate of £33-38K, LHD and plus commission. At top estimate, plus commission, that is £30K cheaper than the cheapest one for sale in Australia.

There is a 2006 Ferrari Superamerica at AU$570K. The same auction has one from 2006 with an estimate of £220- £250K. At top estimate, plus commission, that is £37K cheaper than the Aussie car.

But that's the same price as the UK. A Sagaris is over £70K in the UK. The import duty to Australia plus the shipping is at about £35K.

May I ask if you sold it to someone moving to Australia? Because that's the only way to get in a car there. And not pay duty.

I believe they will also be allowed to be exported to the US when 25 years old. That’s not far away so can we expect prices for the mk1 to fly in 2025
