Just a bit of a heads up that The Prisoner is starting on March 10th on the Horror Channel.

Love it, hate it or know nothing about it at all, it's worth a watch.

Probably haven't seen it since the '80s so it'll be due a re-watch.

cool

Pointless TV program, you wouldn't catch me showing it to my children when they were little and then booking a holiday and going for a pilgrimage....not me....

Excellent, loved the show though far far too young to have watched it first time around, I think they re showed it in the early 90s late at night.

Must revisit Portmerion, again I last went in the early 90s on a beautiful summer’s day, really did feel like a Mediterranean village.

A photo from last September, my second visit in 20+ years and my O/H's first. She was totally baffled by my interest as she was born in 1965 and has never watched 'The Prisoner'. I can imagine what her reaction is going to be next week, "Wha...?!"

My wife was astonished with the place.
Almost like Italy, in Cornwall, but in Wales!
We went at the end of the Season, so it was relatively quiet.
Walking past the Patrick McGowan Plaque and following the water towards the Beach then onto the Bay is a really nice walk.
I think the restaurant had one Michelin star, but certainly one of the better places we have eaten, with incredible views.
Staff were superb.

Oh excellent.

Nice if they had run Dangerman first.

When I went it was hosing it down. Stoating. Cats & dogs. Lions & Rottweilers.

It was very...
...odd. In a good way.
At least it wasn't busy.

Did I say it was wet?

Went for a few days there a couple of years ago as was always a fan. Stayed at Castle Duedreth, awesome place, fantastic food. Would go again.

Thank goodness it's not the awful 2009 remake,

No doubt the price of old Mini Mokes will be rising again.

It should have been on a less fuzzy channel like london live.
I look forward to the exciting opening credits every episode before losing interest about 5 mins later.

Just that brief snatch of the exhaust note that reminded me of the sound that turned me on to Se7ens when I was a student and Lotus Super Sevens were about £460 in basic kit form.

Years ago I bough the Deagostini monthly magazine and dvd that built up to a full 17 disc dvd collection and booklet that gave all the info and background to each episode. There was even a map of The Village included in the box set.

I'd hoped that at the end I'd have a bit more of a clue as to what it was all about. Err, nope. None the wiser.

I fell in love with this when it was shown late at night on Channel 4 back in the 80s and we had our first VCR. I'll have to revisit as I haven't seen it since. I guess I may have to prepare to be disappointed.

Still, there's always The Simpsons parody...
