What car after an M4 convertible ?
Discussion
I've had the M4 for a year now, no major rush to change but have started to think about it. The (nice) problem I'm having is thinking about what follows it. I have always fancied a 911. However, I can't get my head around how I'd need to put in another £50k min to go from the M4 to a similar vintage 911... Has anyone done this, any views on whether it felt worth it ?
Another option I like is the Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio. Much less of a cost increase Vs the 911 and I love the individuality of these, can't really see any downsides...again any views welcomed.
Plus, any obvious options to follow the M4. I need 4 seats on a very occasional basis, must be petrol powered and 350 Bhp plus...Must also be useable and dependable on a day to day basis, hence not more than 5 / 6 years old. Flexible budget, it's more about what I'd be getting value wise.

Interesting thread - I’ve only had my M4 Comp convertible for a short while, but as a true petrolhead I’ve pondered what might possibly replace it in a few years time! I certainly don’t see I could replace it with something that isn’t convertible though - how comes you’re considering buying a car that isn’t a convertible?

That's a fair point, I do love convertibles and I use it so much with the roof down all through the year. As for why I might not replace with a convertible, it's mainly due to lack of alternatives that do everything I want / need i.e. occasional rear seats, not too shouty, decent performance, easy to use every day and although I didn't think I'd say this, I actually like the metal hard top. I had an E Class convertible previously and the roof was hard to keep looking good. I do garage the car now though so it may not be such as issue. Unless I go non convertible, or wait until I don't need the rear seats, I think it'll be a keeper for a few years.Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
