Nankang NS-2R - any good when it's cold?
Discussion
I've currently got Nankang NS-2R's on my track car (an old 180bhp BMW - thread here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Doing a track day at Bedford on Saturday and forecast is dry but cold:

Anyone got experience with these tyres in the cold? Is it going to be a one way ticket to the grass?
thanks

They'll be fine, they're more road biased than most track tyres so deal with low temps well. You'll probably find the warmup a bit slower than normal, but that would be the case with anything.
Ok, cheers. Expecting them to take a while to warm up, as would anything geeks said:
Warm up wont be too bad to be honest, my NS2-Rs have been out in much colder conditions and have been just fine. Couldnt see the thread for your car but I have a similar setup in that it's a BMW, 160bhp, about 1000kg and I run the 180 compound,
Excellent, good to know, thanks.Link fixed now: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
