E60 M5 SMG fault....recommendations?

I have an 2008 E60 M5...currently immobile due to SMG fault according to diagnostics....

Can anyone help with recommendation for someone to investigate/fix other than main dealer?...I'm in South London but as it has to go on the back of transporter anywhere reasonably close would work...

Have you had the codes read?

What are the symptoms? What happened when it stopped working?

Yes…codes read by AA…

Symptoms….horrible strains sound when I unlocked car and it did it’s getting ready stuff, cog of death, locked in first…now won’t even start….

What were the codes? Sounds like a pump failure though.

You could try BMR, they're based in the South.

Pump was my conclusion also but I’m no expert…Thanks…I’ll give them a call
