Brake reservoir

OK, I know I should just go to specsavers but, where the hell is the brake reservoir on my Wife's 17 plate Cooper cab please
Is it the same as the oil level where only the computer knows? Surely I'm allowed to check the level? How do the garage top up?
Was looking late last night as wife was heading off on a long journey so doing my usual: oil, water, belts, screen washer, wipers, tyres etc
