Hi - anyone done any research into something like this?

Thinking about positioning where the back boxes currently sit. Electrically actuated; straight through or routed into a silencer.

Early stages but would be great to get some input.

I've thought about it as I like the straight through cans, but on a longer tour my wife complains I can't hear her screaming...smile

The problem is that in reality you want two sets of cans, one perforated and the other straight through.

The only option I could see given space constraints was to replace the centre silencer with straight through pipes (open the housing up and replace the pipes running through it), and add two silencers with bypass where the expansion boxes are now. I'm not sure what sound that would give though.

You would then have four options - with/without bypass and perforated/straight through cans. Bypass and straight through would be er..... anti-social.

Yep - that was what I was thinking...replace each expansion box with an actuator/silencer/bypass setup and then have an unsilenced exhaust can.
