Need to do the brakes on my wife's Ford Kuga, are bosch discs any good? Usually fit pagids, but they're unavailable as are brembo. If fitting bosch discs is it best to stick to bosch pads too? Or pay double and get everything from ford?

Cheers all

Pretty much any named brand is fine these days as long as you avoid the cheepest far east brands that can be a bit hit and miss

What is already on the Kuga? Can you have a look at the part? It will have the manufacturers brand on it (it won’t be Ford, they just assemble parts made to spec by others). Just fit the same OEM brand. My local indy does that. Says it is exactly the same as a ‘genuine’ part because it rolls off the same production line but doesn’t come in a VW branded box.

Bosch is an OEM to many major car brands. I can’t imagine them churning out ste. I’ve found their bulbs and filters equivalent to ‘genuine’ parts or better.

Have you checked the price at Ford. Sounds mad, but a mate who had a garage business to speak to the main dealer . A mate had an Astra and the discs and pads were cheaper at Vauxhall than a local motor factors .
I have used Borg and Beck discs and pads on my BMW and seem a pretty good aftermarket product and very reasonably priced.
