Hi there

My car has been sitting barely used during a lot of lockdown and I have a bit of surface corrosion on my discs alongside some lipping.

Any ideas on costs for having my four discs skimmed, and also any recommendations?

Thanks
Stuart

Not sure on prices but Engine Services in Musselburgh do it. I've used them for alot of other stuff.

I priced up skimming the discs (on the car) of my Lexus LS 400 and it was the same price as me fitting new - which i did.

Unless they are expensive discs, and plenty of life left after the skim, then it's probably not worth your time having them skimmed.

Thanks guys. I think I figured the discs were more expensive than they may be. I think you are right at 100 a disc for skimming , fitting new seems to be just as sensible.
