Currently streaming a local station via a Denon AV receiver but it seems the station is soon to be no longer available that way and in our area is only on DAB not FM.

I know there are full size tuners like this https://www.richersounds.com/tibo-ti435-dab.html but ideally want something much smaller as space is a bit limited - a quick internet search comes up with some older kit that is no longer available but that's about it.

Doesn't need to do anything apart from receive DAB stations and have a line or optical out for connecting to the Denon, any ideas?

I've got one of these. It's very good, but might be overkill as it has a CD player, amp and a range of inputs as well, so a potentially a full replacement for your current receiver.

I don't see why you couldn't use a car DAB adaptor.

You might need to provide a 12v supply, but a quick glance suggests some are powered by USB?

EDIT: This one is USB powered, and will output on FM - so you could tune into it using the FM on your receiver.

You will need an aerial adaptor though (shouldn't be difficult to find)

JulianHJ, neat looking unit and would be ideal if we didn't already have a 5.1 setup (Denon AVR-1912 + Wharfedale speakers) hence looking to expand what we have rather than replace.

TonyRPH, that's not a bad idea and one that did cross my mind, have loads of old power supplies kicking about so no worries there - will keep looking for something with a line out though, not so keen on using FM as I'd imagine the sound quality will take quite a hit.

EDIT

Just realised that the one you linked has line out (doh!) and is powered by 5v USB so should be able to use any half decent phone charger, looks like problem solved :-)

Check what band the station you want is on first as not all dab tuners will pick everything up.

Or make sure the one you buy it DAB+. To cover everything

Just realised that I'm making things far harder than they need to be as the station will still streamable from their app - have an old Android phone knocking about so reckon I may as well just install the app, connect it via 3.5mm > RCA and leave it charging. Just a case then of selecting the input on the AVR and tapping play on the phone.
