Looks like maybe 20 been in some sort of large crash, but it’s got all the NCAP features and some parts are pretty cheap (wings) but obviously a fair few parts (more than normal) are unique to the car
You’ve save money either way as the GR is capable of 30-35 mpg vs Impreza 20-25 mpg

You can use such things as doors, boot, bumpers from a non turbo Impreza on a WRX, can't do that with a Yaris GR.
FYI take the Yaris GR and sell your Impreza. Unless the Impreza is a STI or is a classic, and you need the space then I'd 100% have the Yaris GR.

Possibly the insurance companies have worked out what it is now. My first quote was £300 (zero years NCD), second quote a bit more.
Parts will be difficult to obtain and as said above more than a few have been written off by over-enthusiastic owners.
As an aside, I found myself driving behind a couple of bug-eyed imprezas recently and have to say these are still the business.

I'm gobsmacked at these quotes for a £35-£40k high performance homologation special full of very expensive parts and bespoke body panels.
I suppose it's the relatively low numbers in production and the fact that they're so new that not many have had the chance to be crashed yet that bring the risk algorithms down?
